Title of talk: Visual Snow Syndrome: from phenomenology to pathophysiology and prospects for treatment
Talk abstract:
Visual snow syndrome is a distinctive disorder of visual perception marked by continuous visual static and related sensory symptoms. Emerging evidence points to dysregulated cortical excitability and thalamocortical network dysfunction as key mechanisms underlying the syndrome. This lecture will summarise current insights into the neurobiology of visual snow and discuss how these advances are guiding the development of targeted therapeutic approaches.
